About us

Precious Rose is a mother and daughter collaboration between Shazara Precious (daughter) and Primrose (mother) that was birthed in early 2020.
The name Precious Rose is a combination of both names.

Primrose had a natural talent that was passed on to her from a generation of seamstresses. This natural talent led her to make clothes for family and friends during the 80’s and 90’s while being a parent of 3, as well as holding down 2 jobs. She also studied garment craft in 1992 which she received a city and guilds certificate for and also went on to study fashion, design and business which she received a diploma for in 1994. 

Shazara also has a natural flair for all things creative but didn't start sewing for herself and her children, until mid 2019 because of the lack of diversity in clothing at that time. She had previously owned an online business in 2011 selling accessories but due to being a new mother, she felt the pressure of balancing business and motherhood so she decided to put the business on hold to concentrate on raising her children full time.

Fast forward to 2022 when Precious Rose was launched. The main fabric used in our clothing consist of bright, bold patterns and colours. 

We also use eco friendly packing when mailing our products which is an environmentally-friendly alternative to plastic poly mailers, these eco postage bags will allow us to keep organic waste out of landfills, and make a commitment to the environment.
